Dear friend,

We're Tayler Hobba and Elizabeth “Betsy” Brown, and we founded Floral Post in 2025. We met in Washington, D.C. more than a decade ago, both working in global development. We have both spent more than 15 years working on human rights and inclusive economic development. When your job is to look at some of the heaviest realities of our world every day, you carry it home with you. What made us friends was realizing we both balanced the heavy with hope and care in the same way: by making something beautiful. We threw dinner parties, hosted concerts in our living rooms, and spent weekends in museums and gardens chasing light and inspiration. Those rituals weren't an escape from the hard things. They were what kept us whole enough to keep showing up for them.

After business school, we kept asking the same question: what if we could make that feeling accessible to more people? Flowers kept coming up as the answer, because they're one of the simplest ways to bring beauty into a home and to slow down long enough to notice it.

We have always loved receiving and gifting flowers, but sending them through the mail rarely lived up to what we wanted for the person on the other end. Too much plastic. Blooms crushed in transit. No idea where they came from, or who grew them. What we wanted was the feeling of a farmers market: buying flowers straight from the hands of the person who grew them, simple and beautiful enough for an art museum or a modern farmhouse. We kept looking for that company, and it didn't exist.

Our mission is simple: to create unforgettable experiences with flowers. Not just on special occasions, but every day. As a ritual. As a way of noticing. As an act of care.

This is the company we wished existed. So we built it.
